The Park Ridge Country Club (PRCC) was founded in 1906 by local sportsmen. The club was chartered to promote:

good fellowship, and the promotion of golf, lawn tennis, field games, athletic sports, and social features.

Athletics and fellowship continue to be the primary traits of PRCC, to this day. Of course, since 1906, the club has gone through tremendous growth, with the framework for the current building being established in 1925. The two-story, red-brick, Georgian clubhouse includes a large, main dining room – perfect for weddings, a smaller, private dining room, multiple lounges, and more.

As for the outdoor facilities, the club sits on more than 100 acres which are home to a large swimming pool, state of the art tennis courts, and a perfectly trimmed 18-hole golf course. If you’re not a member of this private club already, moving to the neighborhood may just change that.

It’s no surprise that you can find elegant, grand houses in the Country Club neighborhood—but like most of Park Ridge, you’ll find that each block boasts homes that vary in size, style, time-period, and price. A highlight is certainly the classic architecture that you’ll find everywhere you look, including timeless Colonials, Tudors, Bungalows, French Provincials, and English Cottages. Another bonus is that most lots are larger than a standard Park Ridge lot.

One of the most obvious benefits of living in the Country Club neighborhood is easy access to the Park Ridge Country Club itself; however, this is a lovely neighborhood, in a great location, even if you don’t join the private club. Just a few blocks down Prospect Ave you’ll find yourself in the heart of Park Ridge with easy access to restaurants, bars, the Metra, library, and shopping. Additionally, you’re not far from excellent public schools, Field Elementary, Emerson Middle, and Maine South High School.

The icing on the cake? You’re just a few blocks south of Yogli Mogli (technically in Niles), a favorite spot for frozen yogurt, loaded with your favorite toppings.
